Abstract:
Humanity has relied on fossil fuel oil and gas reserves as a
major source of energy since more than a century. Such reliance
has proven dangerous and risky to the environment and all living
creatures on earth since fossil fuel is a very hazardous
substance. Oceans and seas are projected to contain large
reserves of oil and natural gas and thus, drilling and
extraction of oil and gas from sea bed is an active industry.
Offshore drilling activities are not new, however, there are
significant environmental concerns associated with offshore
drilling for oil extraction such as the increased risk of rig
explosions, mechanical damages and leaks, which all expose
marine ecosystems to great risks. Environmental significance and
concerns can result from several activities associated with oil
and gas industry such as: exploration, drilling, production,
gathering, transportation and distribution, refining and
processing, and each of these activities has unique
vulnerabilities. The greatest vulnerability leading to
large-scale environmental damage comes from pipelines
infrastructure – given the overall length, age and condition of
existing pipelines and their proximity to shorelines.
In this review the impact of oil spills on marine ecosystem is
discussed with referral to both long term and short term
physiological impacts of petroleum hydrocarbons on marine
creatures.

Abstract:
An excellent film has been washed by time and passed down from
generation to generation, becoming a classic. Classic works in
movies, through the gradual advancement of the plot, often bring
constant shock to the audience and can reflect after watching
movies. The classic lines in movies are an important part that
can best reflect the main idea of movies. These lines can also
directly express the character of the hero. Driven by the
audio-visual effect of movies, the lines are more deeply rooted
in people's hearts, while the classic lines are often short and
incisive, which strongly influence the changes in students'
minds. However, it is precisely because the classic lines open
up another space and way of thinking for students, or make
students' faith in truth, goodness and beauty firmer. Classic
lines often convey the spirit of the times and the national
spirit, and contain universal truth, which is worth spreading.
Movies are the most intuitive, true and easy way for human
beings to express their thoughts and feelings. Watching movies,
like reading books, should not only indulge in the magnificence
of its surface and the grandeur of its scenes, but also think
about what should be done if the protagonist in the story is
himself? How to deal with it? For some films, their ideological
and moral heights are not limited to thinking about individuals.
They introduce the audience to the ideological heights, which
are not only personal life, but human nature, nation and
country. Driven by the audio-visual effect of movies, the lines
are more deeply rooted in people's hearts, while the classic
lines are often short and incisive, which strongly influence the
changes in students' minds. However, it is precisely because the
classic lines open up another space and way of thinking for
students, or make students' faith in truth, goodness and beauty
firmer. Classic lines often convey the spirit of the times and
the national spirit, and contain universal truth, which is worth
spreading.

Abstract: This paper
introduces experimental study concerning of the effect of
pre-compression ratio on the flexural behavior of two-way bonded
post tensioned slabs pre-strengthened with external CFRP strips.
In order to evaluate the strength improvement offered by
attaching the CFRP strips, three post-tensioned, simply
supported concrete slabs were checked in the laboratory. One of
each was a control specimen and two were strengthened using CFRP
strip. The specimen failure resulted either by concrete crushing
and/or by rupture of the CFRP. A 62.18 %, 58.2 %, and 37.8 %
improvement in ductility, initial stiffness, and deflection
compared to control specimens was provided by the post-tensioned
concrete slab with bonded tendons and strengthened with CFRP
strips with a pre-compression ratio of 1mpa. On the other side,
the ultimate load was increased by the post-tensioned concrete
slab with a pre-compression ratio of 2mpa and reinforced with
CFRP strips and deflection by 27.1%, 43.2% and a decrease in
ductility and initial stiffness by 18.36%, 41.8%, respectively
when compared to strengthen slab with CFRP strips that had 1mpa
pre-compression ratio.

Abstract:
Consumer is nerve centre of the modern marketing, understanding
his behaviour is quite essential for efficient and effective
marketing management. Customers may state their needs, wants but
act otherwise. They may not be in touch with their deeper
motivations. India’s consumer market is riding the crest of the
country’s economic boom. Driven by a young population with
access to disposable incomes and easy finance options, the
consumer market has been throwing up staggering figures.
Marketing problem enhancing from the consumers’ behaviour has a
greater degree of similarity behavioural problems relating to
the consumer durables. Television
is used to represent consumer durable goods. as a product is
getting the status of essential commodity all over the world.
The potential of getting television market is indeed quite
enormous. The Nigeria consumers were indifferent in choosing the
brand since a lot of close substitutes were available in the
market. However they have changed ever since there is a shift in
Nigerian economy. Choosing the right brand of television is
difficult enough when there are different brand and all this
clam to give excellent quality. Researchers are interested not
only in the product but also the behaviour of the consumers
because it gives them the right orientation for products
development and positioning. The level of consumer satisfaction
provides the scope for repeated purchases’ and brand loyalty
that lead to optimum profitability. This research finds that
consumer’s perception on buying television is mostly affected by
technical features, durability, ground reality and discount.
