Abstract: This article describe how to use the information technologies in education, both in everyday life and for distance learning, is becoming increasingly widespread throughout the world. ICTs can significantly increase the chances of people getting an education at all levels. According to international experts, it is recommended that the legislation clearly establishes sanctions against the dissemination of prohibited information, including financial and administrative measures, to compile a list of prohibited information. Blocking, restricting the use of information on the internet, automatic filtering of content, firstly, these measures can’t provide security 100% effectively, and secondly, it undermines the reputation of the country, which is partially recognized as free. The widespread use of ICTs in knowledge acquisition can also promote family cohesion, promote family values, prevent adverse social conditions in families, and, above all, provide training in work and access to information and communication technologies. ICT provides an opportunity to organize remote work, the performance of professional duties by a freelancer at a distance from the location of the organization where he works (at home or in the center of telecommunications services), through telecommunications and computer equipment.

Abstract: Steam turbine generator is an electromechanical system which converts heat energy to electrical energy. In this paper, the modeling, design and analysis of a simple steam turbine generator have done using Matlab/Simulink Toolbox. The open loop system have been analyzed to have an efficiency of 76.92 %. Observer based & linear quadratic regulator (LQR) controllers have been designed to improve the generating voltage. Comparison of this two proposed controllers have been done for increasing the performance improvement to generate a 220 Dc volt. The simulation result shows that the steam turbine generator with observer based controller has a small percentage overshoot with minimum settling time than the steam turbine generator with LQR controller and the open loop system. Finally, the steam turbine generator with observer based controller shows better improvement in performance than the steam turbine generator with LQR controller.

Abstract: Adequate shelter for all people is one of the pressing challenges faced by the developing countries. The dream of owning a house particularly for low-income and middle-income families is becoming a difficult reality. Hence, it has become a necessity to adopt cost effective, innovative and environment-friendly housing technologies for the construction of houses and buildings for enabling the common people to construct houses at affordable cost. Census in the early Fifties showed that there were about 56 cities in the country and about 10.6 percent of the total population lived in these cities. This rose dramatically to 19.1 percent in 1963 and 24.5 percent in 1985. Today, the national population is estimated to be about 180 million with the urban population constituting about 60 percent. The phenomenal rise in population, number and size of our cities over the past few years have manifested in the acute shortage of dwelling units which resulted in overcrowding, high rents, poor urban living conditions, and low infrastructure services and indeed high crime rates. Various programs have been implemented to address housing problem. Despite all these interventions, Nigeria’s housing problems still remain intractable. This research compares construction cost for the traditional and low cost housing technologies. Nigeria are used as a case study for the investigation. Construction methods of foundation, walling, roofing and lintel are compared. Strength and durability of the structure, stability, safety and mental satisfaction are factors that assume top priority during cost reduction. It was found from the questionnaire analysis that about 26.11% and 22.68% of the construction cost can be saved by using low cost housing technologies in comparison with the traditional construction methods in the case studies for walling and roofing respectively. This proves that using low cost housing technologies is a cost effective construction approach for the industry.

Abstract: This study deals with bioaccumulation factors for heavy metals: Cadmium, (Cd), Chromium (Cr), Copper (Cu), Lead (Pb), Manganese (Mn), and Zinc (Zn) in the Muscles and Organ tissues of three fish species, Clarias gariepinus, (C. gariepinus) and Oreochromis nilotians (O.niloticus), and Water from Baga, Lake Chad, Nigerian Sector. The aim of this study was to determine the bioaccumulation factors (BAFs) for heavy metals in the Muscles and Organ tissues of three fish species. The concentrations of heavy metals in the Muscles and Organ tissues were determined using energy dispersive X-rays florescence (EDXRF) and Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) was used to determine the heavy metals in water. The BAFs for heavy metals for heavy metals in the Muscles of three fish species are depicted in this pattern Cr> Pb> Cd> Mn> Zn> Cu. The presence of heavy metals in fish species are of great importance when their concentrations are not above the maximum permissible limits sets by World Health Organization (WHO). The essential heavy metals are accumulated with greater amount. The BAFs in the Muscles of Fish species are Cu (1446.00) and Zn (3240.00), and in the Organ tissues, Zn (1330.00) and Cu (1574.00). The values for the non-essential heavy metals are Cd (10.00) and Pb (11.60) in the Muscles and Cd (200.00) and Pb (4.20) in the Organ tissues of fish species.

Abstract: Background: Direct acting antiviral drugs (DAAs) (Ledipasvir/Sofosbuvir) can contribute to improvement and prevent progression of liver fibrosis in children with β- thalassemia infected with hepatitis C virus (HCV). Objective: The aim of this study was to assess liver fibrosis by measuring serum hyaluronic acid (HA) in β-Thalassemia children infected with HCV before and after DAAs (Ledipasvir/Sofosbuvir) therapy. Patients and Methods: 50 children with β- thalassemia, who had chronic HCV infection, aged 12 -18 years, were treated by DAAs for 12 weeks. They were evaluated before and 12 weeks after the end of treatment by PCR for HCV. Liver fibrosis was evaluated before and after treatment by serum HA and Aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio index (APRI). Results: Assessment of liver fibrosis with APRI before and after treatment with DAAs demonstrated a statistically significant reduction in the number of patients with severe fibrosis, and redistribution of cases into the less severe classes (P.Value 0.039). There was significant reduction in fibrosis-4 index and serum HA after treatment in comparison to their pretreatment values (P.Value <0.001). Conclusion: HA was reduced together with improved APRI after treatment of HCV infection in children with thalassemia using DAAs, which indicates improvement of liver fibrosis.

Abstract: Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) is an acute, highly contagious, immunosuppressive viral disease of young chickens; IBDV predominantly targets B-cells residicing in the bursa of Fabricius (BF) and results in bursal edema, atrophy, and abrogation of antibody responses. Significantly, IBD-induced immunosuppression increases the occurrences of other diseases caused by opportunistic pathogens and, thus, prevents young chickens from responding optimally to vaccines. Owing to its widespread nature, high morbidity and mortality rates, IBD has been given a considerable economic importance both at the international and national levels and is of growing scientific interest. Most of the economic losses associated with IBD are due to its immunosuppressive effects that eventually lead to poor vaccination response, secondary bacterial, viral and protozoan infections and poor performance. The disease is mainly controlled by rigorous sanitary measures and vaccination through the use of either live or killed vaccines.

Abstract: Emerging infectious diseases are a major challenge in the 21st century, in recent years, worldwide outbreaks of Ebola and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome caused great health and economic losses. The ongoing new coronavirus pneumonia (Corona Virus Disease 2019, COVID-19) outbreak is now a global public health problem. This research paper considered COVID-19 Virus spreading shocks on Nigerian economy and adopted a historical-analytical approach to study the interplay of factors deepening the impact of the shocks, the new phenomenon of demand-shock effect alongside a supply-side shock effect implies that the length and cost of these shocks could significantly inflict a colossal economic downturn on the economic outlook in emerging and developing economies like Nigeria. Thus, as of May 9, 2020 with the results of statistical data processing, it is difficult to predict the future spread-reduction variables of the pandemic.
