Prevalence of Bovine Tuberculosis in Kombolcha Industrial
Abattoir
Kindalem Bayew (Dr.)

Abstract:
A cross sectional study on bovine tuberculosis (BTB) was
conducted to determine its prevalence in cattle in Kombolcha
industrial abattoir in the period from September,
2018 to January 2019.
Routine and detailed meat
inspection methods were used to detect lesions. A total of 720
cattle were inspected; their body condition
scores and ages were recorded before slaughtering. Of the total
animals, 5.83% (42/720) had lesions of
tuberculosis.
Out of these, routine abattoir inspection detected only 0.28%
(2/720) with visible lesions and there
was poor agreement (kappa=0.09) between routine and detailed
inspection methods. The proportion of lesions
found in the lung and associated lymph nodes, head, mesenteric
and hepatic lymph nodes were 69.78, 18.75, 9.38 and 2.08%,
respectively. The prevalence of the disease was significantly (P
< 0.05) varying with body
condition scores but it didn’t significantly (P > 0.05)
vary with age groups of the animals. This study
demonstrated the prevalence of BTB in cattle slaughtered in
Kombolcha industrial abattoir and low sensitivity of
routine abattoir inspection. So the carcass must be examined
well to reduce the chance of messing lesions of
tuberculosis.

The Design Expression and
Cognition of “Chinese Style” in Contemporary Western Fashion
(1951-2023)
DENG Tianyuan

Sci-Tech University, Zhejiang Hangzhou, 310018, China
Abstract:
Since the middle of the
twentieth century, China's economy has been booming and the
market potential behind it has been limitless. With the
improvement of national power, “Chinese Style” has become a
prevailing trend in the Western
fashion field. Western designers
reinterpreted Chinese style with their
enthusiasm for oriental aesthetics and their desire for
consumers. This paper summarizes and
sorts out Western high-fashion apparel brands’ collections with
Chinese style as the theme, and takes
Western perspectives as the starting point to explore their
design elements, artistic expression forms and current
development status of culture appreciation and appropriation of
Chinese elements. Explore the ideological cognitive path and
paradigm of Chinese image in the West from the design
expression; From the collective unconscious in the perspective
of social psychology and art, this paper explores the root cause
for Western fashion to stereotyping
Chinese style and to reflect on it for inspiration, which is of
great significance to promote the positive
dissemination and shaping of traditional national cultural
costumes in the international community.

ABSTRACT:A cross- sectional
study was conducted from January to October, 2018 in Janamora
Wereda with the objective of determining the prevalence of ticks
and assessing the level of infestation by considering different
risk factors such as breed, sex, age, body condition scores,
management system and the origin of the animals. Adult ticks
were randomly collected from 384 local 109(48.44%) and cross
83(52.20%) breed cattle. Out of the total 384 cattle examined,
192/384(50%) were found to be infested by tick of different
genera. From the total ticks collected, Amblyomma,
Rhipicephalus, Hyalomma and Boophilus were accounted 56.77%,
23.96%, 11.46% and 7.81% respectively. The risk factors breed
such as local 109 (48.44%), and cross 83(52.20%) (p=0.744,
χ2=1.955), sex such as female 83(50.92) and male

New pattern of red gene inheritance under the background of
Chinese modernization
XIE Qi 1, FAN Xueqiao 2
(1. Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Harbin
Institute of Technology, Heilongjiang Harbin;
2. Irkutsk State Technical University, Russia)
Abstract:
The great and brilliant achievements made by the CPC in its 100
years of development have benefited from the red genes that have
not faded, have not deteriorated and have been passed on from
generation to generation. Standing on a new historical starting
point, the 20th CPC National Congress put forward the concept of
Chinese-style modernization and development for the second
hundred years of struggle, and made new deployment requirements
for China's future development in the medium and long term. In
this realistic background, the inheritance of red genes is
facing the multiple pulls of the changes in the international
situation, the characteristics of the Chinese modernization
development and the development of digital and intellectual
technologies in terms of demand, and the expansion of the mobile
self-media, the cultural industry and the education platform in
terms of channels. In terms of channels, it faces the expansion
of mobile media, cultural industry and educational platforms, in
terms of environment, it faces the influence of cyberspace,
digital technology and humanistic environment, and in terms of
targets, it faces the changes of youth groups, returnee groups
and various groups. There is an urgent need to study in depth
the new pattern of changes in the inheritance of the red gene,
so as to continuously inject the red blood into Chinese
modernization and development.

Terpane
Characterization of Crude Oils from Niger Delta, Nigeria: A
Geochemical Appraisal
Mark Obinna
Onyema*, Michael Junior Ajie
Petroleum
and Environmental Geochemistry Research Group, Department of
Pure and Industrial Chemistry, University of Port Harcourt, Port
Harcourt, Nigeria
onyemark@yahoo.com
Abstract:
The
geochemistry of crude oils from the Niger Delta, Nigeria, were
evaluated using the characterization of C19 to C35
terpanes. Analyses of two representative crude oils from Western
and Central Niger Delta showed abundances of C19 to C29
tricyclic terpanes constituted 12.09% and 29.74%, C24
tetracyclic terpane 0.31% and 0.15% and C27 to C35
pentacyclic terpanes 87.61% and 70.12%, respectively. Diagnostic
ratios of terpanes indicate relatively low abundances of C23,
C28 and C29 tricyclic terpanes, low
abundances of homohopanes, a significantly high abundance of
oleanane and suggested that the Niger Delta crude oils were
derived from terrestrial organic matter source rocks deposited
in an oxic environment during the Tertiary period. Multivariate
oil-oil correlation plot showed the Western and Central Niger
Delta crude oils
are not
distinct, but
moderately
related (genetically). However, diagnostic ratios of
C24
tetracyclic terpane, which was high and moderate; gammacerane, which was low
and high, revealed crude oils from Western Niger Delta were
derived from predominantly terrestrial source and crude oils
from Central Niger Delta were derived from terrestrial source
with input from marine organic matter, respectively. Tricyclic
terpanes/hopanes and isomerization ratios of C32
homohopanes indicated that the Niger Delta crude oils were
generated at high maturity, at top of the oil generation window.

Abstarct:
Desertification is defined as land degradation in arid,
semi-arid and dry sub-humid that happens as a result of various
factors including climatic variations and human activities.
Despite the serious environmental, social and economic impact of
desertification phenomenon, few studies have been done in
providing optimal alternatives. This paper tries to provide
systematic and optimal alternatives in a group decision-making
model. At first in the framework of Multiple Attribute
Decision-making (MADM), indices preference was determined using
shannon entropy, then alternatives priority was evaluated by
ORESTE model. The results showed that alternative of vegetation
cover development and reclamation (A23) with general rating of
= 46.5 is
the most important alternative in de-desertification prosess in
the study area, and alternatives of prevention of unsuitable
land use changes (A18) and Livestock grazing Control (A20) were
in the next priority with general rating of 53.5 and 69,
respectively. Therefore, it is suggested that the obtained
results and ranking should be considered in projects of
controlling and reducing the effects of desertification and
rehabilitatyion of degraded lands plans.
