Abstract:
Indeed feminism and feminist literary criticism are often
defined as a matter of what is absent rather than what is
present. Unlike the other approaches we have examined, feminist
literary criticism is often a political attack upon other modes
of criticism and theory and its social orientation moves beyond
traditional literary criticism. In its diversity, feminism is
concerned with the marginalization of all women; that is, with
their being relegated to a secondary position. Most feminists
believe that our culture is a patriarchal culture: that is, one
organized in favour of the interest of men. Feminist literary
critics try to explain how power imbalance due to gender in a
given culture are reflected in or challenged by literary texts.

Abstract:
In the present study, a total of 225 questionnaires were
distributed of post graduate students of Panjab University,
Chandigarh, and the response rate was 91.3%. Ultimately, we
collected 225 valid questionnaires after excluding invalid
questionnaires. There were more males (58.97%) than females
(41.03%) in the sample, which reflects the gender distribution
among the general population. The average age of the
participants was 21.32 years (SD = 2.02) and ranged from 17 to
25 years. The study sample was composed of 127 men and 108
women. Of this sample, 122 participants reported suicidal
ideation, and 103 participants reported not having suicidal
ideation. Furthermore, 30.96% students were from regular
students of university while 69.94% were distance education
students of university; however, university type did not predict
suicidal ideation among these Chinese university students. The
characteristics of the subjects. Based on self-reports, 27.53%
students had insomnia, 10.70% students were smokers, 25.17%
students were alcohol abusers, 18.84% were affected by disease,
and 17.37% had psychological problems. Sex, age, insomnia,
drinking, disease and psychological problems were all associated
with suicidal ideation. No family factors except being an only
child were correlated with suicidal ideation among post graduate
students of Panjab University, Chandigarh.

TREATMENT OF INDIA IN RUDYARD KIPLING’S KIM

Abstract:
Kim is found to be unique among all the writings of Kipling in
the sense that at least here Kipling has shown his genuine love
for India by the side of his almost instinctive faith in the
benevolent British Empire and his philosophic vision by the side
of his open-mouthed advocacy for action. Thus Kim does not only
present a realistic picture of contemporary India but also
illustrates, to a considerable extent the deep-seated and the
free mysticism of the East.

Virus Research Unit, Department of Microbiology, University of
Port Harcourt, Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
ABSTRACT:Very
little is known about the seroepidemiology of HCMV infection in
pregnant women in Nigeria. The fetal consequences of HCMV
infection have made it one of the most severe infections
contracted during pregnancy. This study sought to determine the
seroprevalence of HCMV IgG antibodies and correlates of HCMV IgG
antibodies in pregnant women in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. A
cross-sectional study design examined 90 pregnant women
presenting at the
University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) in Port
Harcourt, Nigeria,
for anti-HCMV IgG antibodies. A standardized questionnaire was
used to obtain the pregnant women's socio-demographic, clinical
and behavioural characteristics.
Commercially available ELISA kits
were used to detect HCMV infections using IgG antibodies.
Of the 90 pregnant women examined, 87(96.7%) were seropositive
for HCMV-
IgG being in the acute stage of the disease, and 3(3.3%) were
seronegative for HCMV IgG antibodies. Marital status, parity,
and education, history of abortion were found to influence
seropositivity significantly. The current study found a high
prevalence (96.7%) of HCMV infection in pregnant women in Port
Harcourt, Nigeria. This high prevalence calls for routine
screening for HCMV infections and related risk factors in this
setting.

Abstract:
The research aimed to estimate the Maximum Sustainable Yield
(MSY) and the level of Fishing effort (FMSY) that
attainable for the sustainability of the most important fish
species caught from the Egyptian marine fisheries (Mediterranean
and Red sea), this can be achieved through the following
sub-objectives: (1) A study of evolution of fish catch from the
Egyptian marine fisheries during the period (2005-2020), (2) A
study of evolution of the most important fish species with the
highest catches from the Egyptian marine fisheries during the
research period, (3) A study of evolution of standard boats for
catching fish species in question, (4) Estimating of the Maximum
Sustainable Yield (MSY) and the Fishing effort (FMSY)
that attainable for the sustainability of the fish species in
question. The research relied on the use of some descriptive and
quantitative economic analysis methods in analyzing the
published secondary data during the period (2005-2020) which is
represented in the annual fishing, and the effort as a number of
fishing boats in question (purse seine, Trawling and Trammel
net), using surplus production models (SPMS) for
Schaeffer and Fox, and the data was analyzed on the computer
using program SPSSV.16.

Abstract:
A cross- sectional study was carried out in Bullen District of
Benishangul Gumuz Regional State, from November 2017 to February
2018 to determine the prevalence of animal trypanosomosis, the
prevailing species of trypanosomes, and to identify associated
risks factors and its vector density. Blood samples were
collected from 400 randomly sampled Bovine, Caprine, Ovine and
equines for parasitological (buffy coat technique) and
hematological (PCVdetemination) procedures. The prevalence of
cattle trypanosomosis infection was calculated as a number of
parasitological positive animals as examined by buffy coat
method to the total population at risk. An overall, 137/400
(34.3%) prevalence was recorded from domestic animals. The
highest and the lowest prevalence were recorded in Baruda 56
(45.9%) and Bullen town 14 (24.1 %) kebele’s respectively, which
was significantly associated (P < 0.02). Similarly, the highest
prevalence was 36.84% in bovine whereas the lowest prevalence
was 26.53% in donkey species, which was not significant (P >
0.05). The study revealed that 80.29%, 12.41%, 4.37% and 2.92%
of animls were infected with
T. congolense, T.
vivax, T. brucei
and mixed
infection, respectively. As present study indicated, 32.25% of
animals were anaemic and 15.25 % were non-anaemic. Furthermore,
the mean PCV of parasitaemic animals (21.29 ± 3.52) was
significantly lower (P<0.05) than the aparastiemic animals
(27.67±1.91). From a total of 1410 flies caught, 972 (68.9%) of
them belongs to Glossina tachinoides, the remaining 684 (48.5%)
were Stomoxys- a genius of biting flies. Economical and
environment friendly community based tsetse fly and
trypanosomiasis control program should be designed and
implemented in the areas to improve the productivity on animals
in the working areas.

Abstract:
Although large
numbers of requested ECG &cardiac enzymes in ER department for
every chest pain , only small numbers of them have significant
findings such as myocardial infarction or acute coronary
syndrome. That has a negative impact towards medical costs,
time staying of patients in ER department and workload to nurses
.The lack following guidelines by ER physicians and lack of
continues medical education to ER staffs are considered the
main reasons for this problem. The aim of this study was to
reduce the negative consequences as mentioned previously.
Through arranging regular educational sessions using posters in
ER department as well as using the screen saver of a computer
at the office of physicians to show the recent guidelines and
approach with chest pain management by using
a simple prediction rule.
Also, we involved
that predication rule in an initial triage sheet of patient.
. The study was set
in ER department within an urban private hospital. Participants
included ER staffs including registered nurses and ER
physicians.
METHODS:
(The Plan Do Study Act) method of quality improvement was used
for this project. Baseline assessment included review of
Marburg Heart Score (MHS)
before the intervention.
Documentation numbers of ECG in
ER, numbers of cardiac enzymes, numbers of significant findings
of ECG and cardiac enzymes related to acute coronary syndrome
were requested before and after following the Marburg Heart
Score (MHS).
INTERVENTION:
Survey of staff was conducted to evaluate knowledge of Marburg
Heart Score (MHS) and also to determine current healthcare
providers' practice as related to identification and treatment
of cardiac causes of chest pain.
RESULTS:
Two months following education on the use of Marburg Heart
Score (MHS) and implementation the knowledge in care of chest
pain reveled significant reduction in numbers of cardiac works
44% by the first month then reach to 25% by the end of the
second month .
CONCLUSIONS:
Identification and implementation of Marburg Heart Score (MHS)
accurately during evaluation of chest pain have a remarkable
impact in selection of cardiac cause of chest pain. Therefore,
the time of staying in ER, work load of nurses and medical cost
significantly changed. It was learned from project that we can
save the time and improve the quality of caring patients if
follow the guidelines and make it easily accessible for our
staff.

Abstract:
In accordance
with the internationally recognized "Concept of Sustainable
Development," special attention is paid to the need to begin a
global solution to environmental problems at the local, national
and regional levels with environmental protection and rational
use of natural resources. Technological progress has exceeded
the rate of use of natural resources and pollution of the
environment by pollutants. As a result, the natural balance is
disrupted.
The
expansion of the activities of mining enterprises leads to the
pollution of atmospheric air, soil and drinking water. In this
regard, the need to carry out geoecological research in these
areas shows the urgency of the work.
