Abstract: Nowadays, greater attention of banks towards their customers is much more noticeable. In this atmosphere, seeking of attracting and keeping the customers, have led the banks towards using the modern system of customers’ relationship management; even though using these system without considering the existing challenges in this path, will move these banks farther away from reaching their intended purposes. This is a trap that has harmed many financial institutions. This research is looking and analyzing these challenges for Bank Mellat Iran. This research has been divided into two parts. In the first part, by using Delphi method and by benefiting of opinions of 17 specialists in this topic on banking industry, we have addressed the problem of recognizing these challenges in the topic of relationship management. In this part of the research, by conducting four rounds of surveys on these specialists, 21 fundamental challenges have been discovered. Delphi panel members were chosen not accidentally but by using snow globe method. In the second part of this research, these challenges were analyzed by conducting surveys of the managers of the branches of Bank Mellat Iran. Initially by the use of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and by taking into account the 5 aspects of technical, cultural, management, economic and structural, these factors were classified. Subsequently, average test confirmed that every one of these 5 aspects as a challenge on implementing of relationship management of customer is important on their own.

Abstract: The study was performed for the evaluation of promising mustard genotypes regarding seed yield and adaptability in different agro-climatic areas of Punjab province, Pakistan. Eight genotypes with three replications were tested at different locations under Randomized Complete Block Design. Data were recorded for seed yield Kgha-1 for each genotype. Analysis of variance revealed that there are significant differences (P≤0.05) among these genotypes. Further data were subjected to Biplot analyzes, which exposed that the total sum of squares of variation for the environment (E), genotype (G) and genotype into environment interaction (G×E) was 92.5%, 1.2%, and 6.3% respectively. Genotype one performed well for yield and adaptability at all eight locations while others genotypes showed location specific performance. So, genotype one should be use in further breeding program for the development of high yielding and stable mustard cultivar.

Abstract: HIV positive patients are more at risk of acquiring Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) due to similar modes of transmission and so it’s no surprise that a substantial number of people are co-infected. A study of the incidence of HIV and STD co-infection was carried out among patients attending health facilities that are supported by the President’s Emergency Plan Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) already providing HCT and ART services. 344 sera samples were collected for the study and screened for HBsAg, HCV and VDRL using rapid test kits according to CDC’s recommendations. The overall co-infection occurrence was 49 (14.24%), HIV-HBV co-infection showed the highest prevalence of 11.05%. The prevalence of HCV and Syphilis were 2.62% and 0.58% respectively. The co-infection was higher in men 36 (25.17%) than female13 (6.47%). Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) reported the highest rate of co-infection 17(16.83%) while Kwali had the least 4(10.26%). Regular screening sessions to monitor and control the current situation of the epidemics should be implemented as well as intensifying public awareness of the mode of transmission and prevention of these deadly viral diseases.

Abstract: Chicken meat promotes good health but at the same time is a major reservoir of microbial contaminant. In this study the incidence of Salmonella sp and other food borne pathogens were evaluated. A total of 12 samples were gotten which included 6wings and 6 thighs from the different retail stores in Port Harcourt. The microbial quality of frozen or commercially processed chicken bought from different retail stores at Rumuokwuta, Alakahia, Choba in port Harcourt metropolis, Rivers state were assessed for the incidence of Salmonella sp. Total bacterial count, total Salmonella count, was done using plate count agar, Salmonella-Shigella agar, respectively. The result showed that for the total bacterial count on the chicken wing ranged from (1.15 x 106- 2.57 x 106) and for total Salmonella count it ranged from (1.09 x 106 – 4.98 x 106). The result for chicken thigh showed for the total viable count ranged from (1.72 x 107) - (6.3 x 107) while for total Salmonella count it ranged from (1.85 x 106 - 1.77 x 107). Biochemical tests were done to identify the isolates and a total of 24 isolates were obtained. From the isolates about 9 organisms were identified Escherichia coli (17%), Salmonella sp (17%), Citrobacter sp (4%), Pseudomonas sp (4%), Enterobacter sp (4%), Shigella sp (8%), Proteus sp (4%), Serretia sp (17%) and Staphylococcus sp (25%). The presence of microorganisms in refrigerated chicken meat should be as a result of the hygiene practices from the farm, during transportation, during slaughtering and finally in the retail stores. Other factors could be inadequate preservation techniques such as freezing in places of limited power supply. Therefore proper hygiene should be carried out to avoid contamination and proper and good manufacturing practices should be encouraged.

Abstract: Taxonomic diversity of understorey vegetation (herb species) was studied in two evergreen forests, viz. oak and pine in the Kumaun Himalaya. In terms of taxonomic diversity, Asteraceae and Lamiaceae were the two dominant families in the sampling forest types. Maximum number of species was found at hill base and minimum at hill top in both the forests. The number of families, genera and species ratio observed for pine forest was of course higher with compared to the oak forest showed about the higher taxonomic diversity. Perennials form had higher contribution as compared to annuals forms indicated better ability to store up soil. Very few species (9 species) were found to be common indicates higher dissimilarity in both type of forests. Species richness (per m2) was higher in the pine forest than the oak forest. A high value of beta-diversity in the oak forest point out that the species composition varied from one stand to another. However, low concentration of dominance value in the pine forest with compare to the oak forest point towards the dominance, which is shared by many species.

Abstract: A cross-sectional study was carried out in Pawe district of Benishangul Gumuz Regional State, Western Ethiopia from January to March, 2016 to determine trypanosomosis prevalence, trypanosomosis association with anemia, prevailing trypanosomes species, associated risks and vector density. Blood samples collected from (n= 519) randomly sampled cattle (Bos indicus) was examined using buffy coat technique and hematological procedures. An overall, 29 (5.58%) trypanosomosis prevalence was recorded. The infection was caused by Trypanosoma congolense 22/29 (75.86%) and Trypanosoma vivax 7/29(24.14%). The infection rate difference between trypanosomes was statistically significant (P< 0.05). Mean packed cell volume (PCV) value of the infected animals was lower (22.79% + 4.51) than uninfected animals (25.81% + 5.53) and the variation was statistically significant (P< 0.05). Overall, anemia prevalence of 35.06% (182/519) was recorded and it was significantly higher (58.6%) in infected cattle than in non-infected (33.67%). Significant association was not recorded with study sites, sex groups, age categories and body conditions (P> 0.05). Glossina tachinoides was the only tsetse fly caught and its mean apparent density measured as fly/trap/day was 5.03. In addition, other mechanical transmitters of trypanosomosis such as stomoxys (1.62 f/t/d), tabanus (0.41f/t/d) and haematopota (0.22 f/t/d) were recorded. In conclusion, the result of the current study showed the economical importance of trypanosomosis in the area calling for devising strategic control efforts.
