Abstract: objective: the aim of the present study is to examine the awareness and knowledge of people with multiple sclerosis (MS) toward their illness and their source of information, and the quality of life across gender, age and symptom severity. Method: Cross-sectional study used by using a self – administered questionnaire. Setting and Participants: The sample was collected from patients Registered in “Arfaa society” and their followers on social media, 143 participants were qualified for the study. Results: General knowledge about MS among patients were unexpectedly high, and the primary source of information was obtained from the internet. The only health education provider in hospitals were doctors, yet one third of participant’s complaints were about difficulties in communicating with their doctors during their visits. None of the patients have had a health education specialist to educate them about the disease and nature of relapses. The quality of life was relatively high throughout all participants, with only 7% of them with a very low quality of life. The lower the knowledge about MS among patients, the lower the quality of life they receive. Conclusions: Patient information and counseling needs to be included in the management plan for Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients, through health education specialists, especially at early stages of disease for management of the disease relapses.

Abstract: The problems with electrical power distribution coupled with its unavailability and uncertainty when urgently needed has led many households to seek alternative sources of energy. An alternative often sought is power generation based on fossil fuel, which is expensive and negatively impact on the environment. Although, solar is favoured as viable source of energy, the output voltage and current from photovoltaic solar panels are not constant but varies with time of day, geographical location and inclination or tilting angle. Therefore, there is a need to experimentally observe these factors influencing solar output in a locality of interest for better solar power system design. In this paper we investigated the best inclination angle for PV panel installation in Offa, North Central Nigeria. We also studied the variation of solar panel voltage and current output with time of day. In order to assist solar power system designer, this article presented typical energy consumption pattern for different income classes. The highest PV voltage output was obtained at 300 - 400. Moreover, from experimental observation of variation of solar PV during a daytime hours over a seven-day period, the highest voltage and current readings were obtained at around 13:00-13:30. We report that the energy consumed by households ranges from 4.423 kWh/day to 46.520 kWh/day.

Abstract: In multiple epidemiologic investigations, air pollution has been associated with increased heart rate and decreased heart rate variability. Recent studies on air pollution and heart rate have suggested that autonomic imbalances, as evidenced by increases in heart rate and decreases in heart rate variability, may specifically contribute to the increased mortality. The main air pollutants are divided into 5 main categories, including Particular mater, O3, NO2, SO2 and CO that they can increase the oxygen demand of the heart muscle by increasing heart rate. There are many reports that show the relationship between particulate air pollution and heart rate. The elevated heart rate and myocardial ischemia seen with exposure to air pollutions prior to exercise are important to consider in exercise populations with compromised cardiovascular function, who may not be too able to accommodate the additional cardiovascular strain. Therefore, it is important to consider how air pollution will affect exercise testing and prescription by those involved in cardiac rehabilitation programs. Individuals should take into account the method of transport to an exercise location. In particular, competing athletes and those with heart disease could consider avoiding traffic prior to exercise to minimize the health risk and potential effects on exercise performance.

Abstract: Discussion marriage (proposal, engagement, etc.) in different societies is a major problem and that is why our jurists and legislators in different fields of jurisprudence and laws of the problem is described. In addition, an important and influential role in how marriage is the norm. We can say that in our society customs official said the demand for marriage proposals from men, although the proposal from the woman seems to be no problem, but it is unorthodox. In our society, marriage and the practice does not occur in the same way anywhere in the proposal, during the engagement, about the relationship between candidates, dowry payments, alimony, and even the dissolution of marriage (divorce and its variants) and so different. In this thesis, we tried to approach the library, to identify sense, common sense, and the status of its application to the background, base, its credibility in society and its impact on marriage, the quality of the proposal, the nomination period, dowry payments, alimony and The role of customs in the liquidation of the institution of marriage and the sanction to be expressed. The results show that although marriage is rooted in religion and our culture is very important in terms of legislation, but of practice in how to propose marriage, betrothal, dowry payments, fees, for example, the Department of Family, and so forth, but with the passage of and in different time zones. The tradition of civil law on marriage, the importance and its role in social resolution. The common effect of court decisions, in particular, are more family court and court judgments, in cases where the law a certain way of making decisions and issuing opinions expressed do not, by tradition, in which the action and the verdict are.

Abstract: The cultivation of arable crops in an open vacant plots of land polluted with spent engine oil close to the workshop after services is now a common practice among automobiles mechanic and generator repairer as measure of food security in Nigeria. It is against this backdrop that a pot experiment was carried out in the Department of Crop and Soil Science Demonstration Plot, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria between the months of April and July 2011 to determine the effect of spent engine oil on the growth of two varieties maize (Zea mays L). The experimental design was a 2x4 factorial in a completely randomized design with three (3) replications. The treatments were two varieties of maize (Oba super II and Bende Local) and spent engine oil polluted soil viz: 0-15cm (control); 15-30cm (control); 0-15cm (polluted) and 15-30cm (polluted). The results showed that spent engine oil altered the soil chemical characteristic in the parameters assessed. At terminal period (12WAP) 0-15cm (control) soil performed best by producing the highest plant height (99.4cm), number of leaves (13.5) and fresh weight (33.5g) this was followed by 15-30cm (control) while the polluted soil (0-15cm) gave the lowest of the three vegetative traits mentioned. There was significant difference on the vegetative parameters of the two varieties maize and also on interaction. Oba super produced significantly the highest plant height (69.2 cm), number of leaves (9.6), and fresh weight (27.04g) while Bendel Local had lowest plant height (64.5cm), number of leaves (7.0) and 24.17g fresh weight. Although the value of Ni, Pb and Zn were within their critical limit in the soil, which may appears to support plant growth; it is not advisable to cultivate the soil polluted with spent engine oil as it may pose a threat to human health through bio magnification. Hence, further studies need to be carried out on the effect spent engine on maize grain or other edible crops before proper recommendation can be made. However, within the limit of this study, the unpolluted soil (control) obtained from the non-auto mechanic plot of Land appeared appropriate for the production of Oba Super II and is therefore recommended to maize growers.

Abstract: The Islam religion has been based on the principles of invitation, theosophy and good advice and after that the God granted his messenger with conquer and victory over the polytheists and hypocritic ones and the Kaffirs and after he laid the foundations of his religious and political base, he sets out in sending invitation letters to the kings to invite them to the Islam’s religion. In those letters the Islam’s great apostle (peace be upon him) has made use of brevity styles concomitantly with encouragement and discouragement and dismay and annunciation and ordering and reminding them of the favors they are owing, kindness and seriousness and softness and hardness. In those letters there are attitudes and approaches towards the issues such as the tyrant rulers’ orderings and the individual and personal instincts and advantage and, in this regard, the letters sent by the Great Islam’s Apostle (Peace be upon him) remain eternal as a historical, political, religious and literary issuance and the passage of time has not rendered them withered. The present article has dealt with the analytical and aesthetic quotation survey of the letters sent by the Great Islam’s apostle (peace be upon him) with the objective of evaluating the letters sentence structure and semantic meanings.

Abstract: Agroforestry trees (Agroforests) play an important role in global carbon cycle and regulating the biospheric climate. Agroforestry trees are key component of agroforestry systems which store substantial amount of terrestrial carbon (C) and a very significant proportion is fixed in the form of above ground biomass. This paper addresses the potential of agroforestry trees (agroforests) with especial reference to carbon sequestration and carbon finance in India. The indirect method of carbon estimation in the agroforestry trees using volume and regression equation are practically useful compared to direct or harvesting methods. The agricultural lands with substantial agroforests/ trees components are considered to be a major potential sink being capable for storing high amount of C in different agro-ecological systems. Currently, climate change awareness has increasingly gained the momentum being major threat for the survival of biotic community and to address this carbon sequestration in the trees outside forests (TOF) in the form of agro and farm forestry is an economically feasible and practically viable option. Thus, the importance of agroforestry as a sustainable land-use system is receiving wider recognition not only in terms of agricultural sustainability but also in issues related to biodiversity, soil and water conservation and ultimately to the climate change adaptation and mitigation.

Abstract: Much of the research investigating exercise and air pollution focuses on exposure to air pollution during exercise. Most studies assessing the effects of carbon monoxide exposure on exercise performance suggest that performance is impaired. Acute ozone exposure reduces maximal exercise time, workload, oxygen consumption, and performance on a maximal exercise test. These performance decrements are likely due to increased respiratory discomfort. Any PM exposure experienced en route to an exercise location might cause physiological changes, which could also affect exercise performance. While gender and environmental conditions (PM count or particle size) may influence the effects of PM inhalation, the mechanism by which performance may be impacted is even more unclear. There are few evidences regarding the effects of pre-exercise exposure to diesel exhaust (DE) on exercise performance.

Abstract: Chemistry as one of the fundamental natural-science cycle which is intensively developed and improved in science . "The information boom" that has engulfed the whole of mankind, above all, concerns and chemistry, and its technology. The relationship of modern chemistry and physics and biology should be reflected in the content of chemical education. Correct and scientifically based production and organization of the processes of teaching chemistry, after all, should lead to the elimination of Chemo phobia -negating opinion among the population, the strengthening of the role of chemistry in the creative growth and social welfare, on the contrary, harm reduction for destroying chemical nature and society. Based on the modern methodological problems of chemical science is necessary to competently organize the teaching process. Only in this way we can achieve the formation of a mass of the chemical thinking, chemical and chemical culture consciousness.

Abstract: The study appraised the potency of poultry production business as a means of livelihood and poverty alleviation among its farmers. Nigeria is a favourable ground for poultry production business as no culture in the country forbids the consumption of poultry and its products but rather use it as food for social gatherings and for business purpose in eateries or restaurants. However, production is low to meet up the demand of poultry and its products. Profitability approaches to be successful in the business were examined. The study deduced that poultry production business in its entire ramification represents one of the viable farming enterprises providing the much needed animal protein sources (table egg and meat) to ameliorate the protein deficiency factor in Nigerian food crisis; means to alleviate poverty or sustain livelihood and generate employment among its farmers. The study recommended that the government should use poultry production business to pursue youth empowerment with extra vigor to drastically reduce level of prevalent unemployment in our society. This approach will enable the Federal and State Government to meet the target of reducing poverty and generate productive employment for a lot of people every year.
