Abstract: Nickel-base alloy is an attractive alloy in industries for its high corrosion resistance and high strength. However, its adhesive wear resistance is not so high. Therefore, surface treatment is necessary if the alloy is used as friction materials. In nickel-base alloy micro-strain is stronger. Addition of alloying elements such as Ni has provided a thrust towards high performance in PM materials. An increase in hardness and strength occurs with increasing sintering time, which is more prominent in Ni containing compositions. On the other hand impact strength is improved by addition of Ni. A nickel-base alloy is Ni76Cr19AlTi alloy with ultra-high strength. Heavy-duty engine valve can be prepared with this alloy for its high strength even at high temperatures. Ni-rich areas are detrimental to mechanical properties such as tensile and fatigue strength. The main strengths of the nickel-based alloys are being heat-resistant, retaining their high mechanical and chemical properties at high temperatures, and having high melting temperatures, high corrosion resistance, as well as resistance to thermal fatigue, thermal shock, creep, and erosion.

Abstract: Vitamin C syrups of different compositions of overage (additional quantity of ascorbic acid), sodium metabisulphite and disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) were produced. The ascorbic acid content of vitamin C syrup that contained 10%, 25%, 50% (w/v) overages was estimated to evaluate ascorbic acid stability. The effect of sodium metabisulphite in the percentage of 0.05% and 0.5% (w/v) and disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) in the percentage of 0.0025% (w/v) was also investigated. The results of the analysis show that overages did not contribute significantly to the stability of ascorbic acid in the vitamin C syrup. However, the addition of 0.5% and 0.0025% (w/v) of sodium metabisulphite and disodium EDTA respectively in the syrup contributed significantly to the stability of ascorbic acid in the syrup.

Abstract: Postoperative Intraperitoneal adhesions are a burden for patients and physicians, by far there are no available laboratory tests or imaging to predict them3 and their complications costs estimated to be more than 5 billion U.S dollars annually7. The development of postoperative peritoneal adhesions has been studied thoroughly but up to date there is no definitive guidelines for prevention. This literature review aims to identify the Types, pathophysiology, complications, triggering factors of abdominal adhesions and the best evidence based methods for prevention with focus on Hyaluronic acid/carboxymethylcellulose (Seprafilm). A literature search in TRIP database, PubMed, Cochrane library, Medline, Embase was performed. Postoperative abdominal adhesions occur in up to 97% in patients who undergo open gynecological pelvic surgeries1. (93-100%) of patients after upper abdominal surgeries and (67-93%) after lower abdominal laparotomies2. 80% formed between the wound and the omentum, 50% are formed between intestines1. Laparoscopic approach has showed a marvelous decrease in the incidence of adhesions by 45%2. Ischemia is the most important pathological factor leading to Adhesions formation, balance between fibrin deposition and fibrinolysis is needed for normal healing. Literature review proved that Seprafilm is an effective method of prevention of adhesions, it is cost beneficial for healthcare system and patients. Furthermore, the use of specific surgical techniques has a significant effect on adhesions prevention. Adhesions are inevitable complications of intra-abdominal surgery. The most important factor in treatment of peritoneal adhesions is prevention. Seprafilm was found to be the best adjuvant method to prevent adhesions according to the literature review. I believe that in the near future Seprafilm should be considered as a guideline for postoperative adhesions prevention. Surgeons most often underestimate the concept of adhesions and do not have full awareness of the problem80. I believe that postoperative adhesions prevention should start with the first skin incision.

Abstract: With the increasing number of diabetes mellitus worldwide and knowing that a quarter of patients might need surgery at least once in their life, it is important to know how to decrease morbidity and mortality perioperatively. 66% of infections account as diabetic patients’ postoperative complications and nearly one quarter of perioperative deaths. Our aim through this review is to understand the importance of correct glycemic control. It has been proved that tight glycemic control was worse than “less tight” control. Perioperative morbidity and mortality could be prevented with less glycemic variability due to correct titration to each individual’s need. Correct glycemic control perioperatively depends on each case. Stress hyperglycemia remains a challenge to all, added to the effects of volatile anesthetic agents that produce hyperglycemia by inhibiting insulin release. Intensive insulin therapy (80-110 mg/dL) for critically ill surgical patients appears to be beneficial but requires frequent measurement of glucose to avoid hypoglycemia. Other studies have however, proved that tight glycemic control has been shouldn’t be the method of choice in critically ill surgical patients. Surgical patients benefit from maintaining serum glucose concentrations <200 mg/dL. Further studies are yet needed to determine the appropriate target range and the influence of nutritional provision and other factors on outcome. Tight glucose control appears to be more beneficial in patients without diabetes than in those with known diabetes. It also may be more beneficial in improving outcomes in surgical rather than nonsurgical ICU patients, and in decreasing sepsis rather than mortality.

Abstract: Globalization is a multidimensional phenomenon. One of its widespread and revolutionary dimensions is globalization of culture. Culture is the major and inseparable part of globalization. No doubt, globalization creates serious challenges for native cultures, in some of which religion plays an important role. On other hand the comprehensive and dynamic Islamic approach, which the Iranian culture is extremely affected by, can give a new identity to the phenomenon of culture in coordination with other cultures while observing its potentials by means of clear standards such that it could safeguard itself from actively facing globalization. In this study, the author wants to prove that the combination of Islamic identity and national identity in Iran has form a new identity – not in a contrary form rather due to commonness in philosophical, religious, historical and cultural etc. principles. This new identity can successfully participate in the battle with the alien and liberal western culture in process of globalization. The status of identities of Iranian society has changed from transverse approach in Pahlavi era to longitudinal approach after success of Islamic revolution. This is one of the major reasons of survival of system of the Islamic Republic against the horrific wave of globalization. This paper intends to study the effect of globalization, as a double sided process i.e. opportunity- bearing and challenging, on the identity of Iranian society especially after the Islamic Revolution of Iran. We will use descriptive-analytical method and use the library resources on basis of paradigmic approach about identity which considers it a changeable matter due to subjective and objective internal factors.

Abstract: The aim of present research is to investigate the relation between anxiety and gastric ulcer in a sample of the general population to find whether anxiety can lead to gastric ulcer. The population was 100 people which 50 of them suffered gastric ulcer and 50 of them were people who had no Digestive problems and were healthy. This population has participated in this research by filling Hamilton anxiety scale questionnaire. Results from this research showed: even though anxiety could be seen less among healthy people than people who suffered gastric ulcer but anxiety wasn’t the factor to lead gastric ulcer but it was among the predisposing factors so anxiety didn’t have meaningless difference with gastric ulcer. In this research, Age, sex and education Variables weren’t considered. In this research we don’t have contrast and zero assumption as we are not going to Infer or estimate anything but we want to find whether there is meaningful difference in what we are investigating.

Abstract: Nowadays, based on the vital importance of the insurance industry in country's economic growth, the need for it is inevitable. However, the development of indicators that show the growth of the insurance industry, like capita premium of the insurance industry's contribution to GDP is not only comparable to the developed countries of the world; it is even lower than in developing countries. One of the reasons cited by experts in the field of insurance industry is insurance coverage which is noncompliance with which they required. Hence, in this study the quality of service as the trustee of Social Security benefits have been evaluated in Iran. In this study, the gap analysis model is one of the most common models used in assessing service quality in the service sector, was used to measure service quality gaps. Theoretical concepts in research related to quality, service quality, service quality, the various components was examined. This research based on its nature and methods is descriptive – survey and the population of the study, all insured persons who have a bachelor's degree or higher than license and has five years of experience and who are organized twice a month and social workers who have a bachelor's degree and higher than master in Sari branch. In this study, standard questionnaires to assess the SERVQUAL model of service quality gaps that the Cronbach's alpha coefficient for the current situation and the ideal situation were calculated 0.909 and 0.941. The results of the research using Kolmogorov–Smirnov test to determine normality of variables and test was set. Empathy is the largest gaps between the components. Abstract: Many studies have shown that background knowledge can help students read and comprehend better. It helps students make successful inferences. Therefore, this study looks at the effects of background knowledge in a reading comprehension test. The study aimed to observe the effect of background knowledge on reading comprehension. The research question is: ‘Is background knowledge effective on reading comprehension?’ and the considered hypothesis is ‘background knowledge isn’t effective on reading comprehension. It can’t help students comprehend the reading text better and faster’. The study was done by two tests (test 1 & test 2) with five passages of reading comprehension. In test 1, students had no prior knowledge about reading passages, but in test 2, the same students took the reading texts that they had prior knowledge about the reading passages .These two tests were administered one after another with 15 minutes break between them and 45 minutes was considered to answer the questions for each test. The same students participated in two tests. They were 40 students of Azad University, Chaloos branch. They were male and female students of general English classes that were selected after administering a placement test among 60 students. The placement test was administered one week before the main tests. Comparison the scores of two tests and analyzing them showed that the students answer test 2 (the students had prior knowledge about the reading passages) better than test 1 (the students had no prior knowledge about the reading passages). The result disapproved the hypothesis of the study and it can be said that background knowledge is effective on reading comprehension. On the other hand, it helps students comprehend the reading text better and faster.

Abstract: Background: In recent years numerous studies have been conducted on effect of information systems on quality of care; nevertheless, literature review shows that no study has focused on the effect of software quality on quality of care. This study aims to investigate software quality based on ISO 9126 standard model and its impact on quality of care. It also aims to determine the most prominent characteristic which is effective on quality of care index. Methodology: In this study quality characteristics of software according to ISO 9126 standard are considered as independent variables and quality of care index is considered as dependent variable. To check the effect of independent variables on dependent one, a questionnaire was designed including 44 questions. The Likert scale was utilized for responses (strongly disagree, disagree, neither agree nor disagree, agree, strongly agree). Score 1 was assigned to strongly disagree and score 5 was assigned to strongly agree. Validity of questionnaire and its reliability were determined to be 95% using medical informatics experts’ point of view and Cronbach's alpha test, respectively. Our statistical population was all nurses inside wards. Thus, population volume was available samples. The total number of nurses was 150 and questionnaires were distributed between them during a two month period. After completion and collection of the questionnaires the data was analyzed using SPSS V. 16 software. To investigate the effect of software quality characteristics on quality of care index, multiple linear regression was utilized. Results: The obtained results demonstrated that based on Beta coefficients suitability, operability, maturity and maintainability sub-characteristics,  respectively in functionality, usability, reliability and changeability characteristics were the most effective ones. Finally, among characteristics, functionality was the most influential one on quality of care. Conclusions: In this study, the effects of characteristics and sub-characteristics on quality of care were weighted. In this way the most prominent characteristic and sub-characteristic were determined which must be considered by managers and software designers.
